BEST PRACTICES AND WAYS TO HELP STOP/CURB CORONA VIRUS SPREADING
1.) SOCIAL DISTANCING - home isolation, work from home, keep a distance 2 metres
2.) hand hygiene, stop touching your face
The CDC recommends:
Washing your hands often for at least 20 seconds with soap and water. An alcohol-based sanitizer can work in the absence of soap and water.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Stay home when you’re sick.
Cover your mouth when you cough, or sneeze with a tissue and throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
3.) high risks patient: low immune system, chronic conditions, frail elderly - home self quarantine if possible. work from home if required... until risks of corona virus spread in the community has subsided. Now corona virus is in community, everyone is at risks of exposure to another, some higher, some lower.
4.) Avoid all unnecessary airplane travel, public transportation travel.
5.) Avoid all uncessary public gatherings - this includes social, work, or religious gatherings
6.) If you have travelled/used the airport recently, best to consider self isolation 14 days irregardless of where you have travelled. This is a suggestion, not a rule. You are infectious to others before symptoms starts to show...
7.) Avoid all health institutions if possible unless in emergency scenarios, and use Video or phone consultations if necessary.
This is a social and community effort. If we all do our parts to stop the virus individually, communally, once the spread stops, the virus will be contained and stopped. Let's work together to stop the virus from spreading.
